Thanksgiving 2024

When we count our blessings, one special friend is at the top of the list: Bunny💓
Emma hopped on a plane from Eugene to Seattle Wednesday morning and spent Thanksgiving weekend in Pousblo with Bunny.
We had a bonus day off school on Wednesday!
The Zs, Bridget, Mel, and I headed to Orte to get our fun Thanksgiving break started.
The gals explored the town and found a fabulous little enoteca for a glass of wine.
Cooking some soup for dinner Wednesday night
Our villa was literally built into the aqueduct - it was incredible!
Thursday morning Bridget baked pies...
Then while the turkey was cooking, we played games
Back in Naples, Camden & Chris worked the MWR/USO Single Sailor Thanksgiving Event

By 4:00 they were in Orte and Camden went right to work in the kitchen!

What a kitchen to prepare our feast in!

Life Lately: November 2024 Edition

As we head into Thanksgiving Break we have so much to be thankful for! Here are a few highlights of November...

The Hawkeyes and the Beavers met head-to-head in a dual wresting meet in Corvallis. Emma's allegiance was split so she opted to wear all black.

Chris had the honor of joining Camden on a special NJROTC field trip
In honor of Veterans Day, cadets from Naples MHS NJROTC visited the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery in Nettuno, Italy. It is the final resting place of 7,845 American military war dead. The majority of these individuals died in the liberation of Sicily (July 10 to August 17, 1943), in the landings in the Salerno Area (September 9, 1943), the heavy fighting in the landings at Anzio Beach and expansion of the beachhead (January 22, 1944 to May 1944), and in air and naval support in the regions.
Cadet Commanding Officer c/LCDR Camden K. and Cadet Senior Enlisted Advisor c/SCPO Magnus A. laid a wreath at the statue of “Brothers-in-Arms” on behalf of the unit. This was a moving, somber, and educational trip for our young men and women.

A wonderful Sunday lunch with Mel, Sherri, and  Amy
(Ron, Jim, Chris, and Camden joined us, too!)
The Booster Club ladies helped Lisa celebrate her 50th birthday
Olive picking with the Oropallos!
Kelly joined the crazy NES crew for the day

Armed Forces Entertainment brought a trio of hilarious comedians to NSA Naples. Chris had a blast hosting them!

Emma's last home football game of the season was the PAC-12 Championship game.  The Beavs won in an exciting last second field goal!

Herky is still living his best life💗
