It's Soccer Season!

Today was the kickoff of the 2012 MWR youth sports soccer season!  Both kids have moved up a league this year and my Tiger and Dragon were ready to play!
First off: Opening Ceremonies.
Emma during the National Anthem
A handsome Master of Ceremonies :)

Camden had a fantastic first game! He was right in there getting the ball away from his opponents and even scored a goal!

 Second quarter goalie!
Chris gives him some tips..

Just like Daddy!
 Nice save!
 Back on offense...

Emma's game was next.  The field has grown in the U9 league so she ran her little heart out today!

She had a nice break away in the 4th quarter and almost scored a goal.

Katniss Everdeen and Robin Hood

On Saturday Emma and Camden had their first experience with archery at our friend Ben's birthday party.  After shooting one arrow they were hooked!  Watch out Katniss and Robin Hood!

Camden hung back and watched the big kids for a while, but then he was ready to try it out. Big sis gave him a few pointers. :)

Did you notice the tongue in each picture?! :)

First Days of School

As you might have guessed by my lack of blogging, life has been pretty hectic since we returned from Germany and Austria.  I headed back to school the week after vacation and found out that I would be going back to the magnificent world of multiage this year teaching 4th and 5th grade.  I have a great group of students and I'm getting myself organized day by day.

Emma started second grade.  She is in a large class with 2 teachers who team teach.  She is thriving in this environment and loves school.

After Labor Day, Camden began kindergarten.  He has loved his first 2 weeks and has been working hard on a poster with pictures of his favorite things for his turn for his Special Day on Tuesday.

Fridays are Spirit Day at Naples Elementary School.  I am one happy mama having both my darlings under the same roof as me! :)
