Our love of Play-Doh

The Kasparek kiddos LOVE their Play-Doh. I would say it's a once every few weeks project for us, but boy does it keep them busy! This afternoon, I just sat back and tried to capture their hard work on camera.

Camden had to get in a few CHEESE poses at first. This picture truly captures Camden. It's the look he has when he's checkin' things out...
She's biting the lower lip-must be concentrating hard on something!
Working together in perfect harmony-a mother's dream! ;)

I have to stay at an arm's length when Camden's perched on this stool, but boy does he look cute (and so grown up)!

Here's to the three day weekend!

Three day weekends are the best! That extra day to kick back and relax is just what we all need every few months. (Yes I know that I had a 2 week break over the holidays, but getting back into the swing of school along with Emma's birthday extravaganza wore me out!)

We had GORGEOUS weather and enjoyed a hike along the nearby Clear Creek Trail with the Warthens on Sunday afternoon. Emma's chasing Claire on her bike
(Why isn't Emma on her bike? Long story...)

Here come the guys (and Alison)!

Later on that evening we had a little movie night.

Having fun with Emma's new camera

We all need a camera that can do this!

New photographer in the family

Emma got a fabulous new VTech Kidizoom Camera for her birthday. This afternoon I went through the 385 pictures she's taken in the last week and thought I'd share a bit of Emma's world...

I can take a picture of my feet!
Here's an exciting thing to take a picture of-the dryer!

Off to church-here's the front of our car!

Here is Daddy driving down the road!
Say cheese Camden!

Joy...

Who couldn't love an ice cream covered face......or a fresh-from-my-nap smile on a sunny afternoon?

The birthday fun continues...

THE highlight of Emma's birthday...her very own Hannah Montana microphone! Here she is jammin' out! Round 2 of opening presents...on the webcam with Babi & Pops, then Nana & Grandpa. Even if they weren't here in person, we were thrilled they got to join in on the fun!
Here Emma, I can help.,,

Happy Birthday, Emma!

I am still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that Emma has been a part of our lives for 4 whole years! This morning as we were heading out the door to church she said, "I'm 4! My heart is changing my number!"
She's having a very happy birthday! I wanted to do a blog tribute to her big day on the big day. There is still about 4 hours left of her birthday, so who know what fun is still to come!

The morning started with the traditional Kasparek-breakfast-in-bed-on-your-birthday.Nearly every week when we go grocery shopping, Emma stops at the balloon display near the produce section and asks, "Mom, can I get one of these for my birthday?" You can imagine that she was over the moon excited when I told her she could get one yesterday!
Emma is yearning for a cousin and she has decided that Lily is her honorary cousin. She was thrilled Lily could be part of her birthday party this afternoon!
Making a wish!
Chris was at it again! Here's his Strawberry Shortcake masterpiece:

Camden, Hunter (lounging in the Elmo chair), Claire, and Logan were anxious to see everything Emma opened.
Woo-who! A Strawberry Shortcake beauty salon!
It's tough working turning 4! Good thing Mom was around to help put this puzzle together!

Trying out her new wheels...

With the sun peeking through the clouds Emma decided it was a great time to ride her new bike that has been sitting in our house since Christmas morning. I rolled it down our hill, she hopped on, and took off like a pro! We do need to work on I look in the direction that I am riding, as she about took out a few garbage cans.

Bringing in the New Year

We had a wild and crazy New Year's Eve with the Warthens! Wild and crazy for us is a night out with the kids eating good food and then the ladies destroying the guys in some fierce board game competitions! It was the perfect way to say farewell to the past year and hello to a new one!

Best buddies-Emma and Claire Camden is ready to party-bring on some more steak fries!
What a pair!
