Happy Easter 2022!

Eggstravaganza at Carney Park is back!!!  It was cancelled for the past 2 years and we were blessed with a picture perfect spring day for the 2022 edition.

An early morning arrival at the park with my love

Amelia and I tossed out candy as Austin drove us up and down the outfield between each age group's hunt.
The K kids were not here, so Chris & I decided to get our picture with the Easter Bunny

Unfortunately, Chris had to work at Carney Park all day.  When he got home he joined the pink shirt club with Zach and Ron. :)

Emma's Hat-Trick at Aviano

The Wildcats headed north again this past weekend to play Aviano.  Captain Emma lead her team on to the beautiful field with the Alps in the distance.

Emma played a phenomenal game and had a hat-trick! Here are video clips of 2 of her goals

5-3 victory!

The Wildcat baseball team had another successful double header. Camden played right field and scored 2 runs!

Spring Sports Weekend in Vicenza

While we were in Ireland, the K kids officially started their spring sports season in Vicenza.

Emma was chosen as captain of the girls' soccer team. She had a great game playing forward! Despite their loss, she was so happy to be competing again on the soccer pitch.

The Sparlings sent this picture of Emma and Avonlea :)
Meanwhile, Camden and the Wildcat baseball team had a double header. They won both games and Camden got a few innings in right field.

20th Anniversary in Ireland

How do you celebrate 20 years of marriage? A trip to Ireland, of course! We flew out late on our anniversary and hit the ground running the next morning.

After a delicious breakfast at Rosie's Cafe, we headed to the train station. While we were waiting for our 10:00 train to Cork, we decided there was no better time than the present to have our first Guinness of the trip.

We had a wonderful afternoon and evening wandering around Cork and popping into pubs

On Friday, we hopped on a bus and headed to Kerry County. Killarney was an adorable town to explore!

Chris found a new friend for Herky: an Irish Wolfhound

Ireland's Best Irish Coffee is at the Red Fox Inn

 Dingle Bay

We stopped for lunch in Waterville. A Friday during Lent was the perfect occasion for fish and chips.

I absolutely loved seeing all the mama ewes and their lambs throughout the Irish countryside.  Holding this little cutie was the best!
One beautiful stop after the next... The Ring of Kerry was incredible!

On Saturday morning we trained back to Dublin. Our first pub stop was The Bank
The Stag's Head
We met the sweetest couple, Michael and Roisin, who joined us for a few more pubs. Both are teachers near Dublin and we enjoyed many laughs with them!

Calling it a night after O'Donoghues.  It was a perfect way to celebrate 2 decades of love!

More Spring Break Fun With Nana

We enjoyed a fabulous ladies' night out to start Spring Break 2022! Mom, Sherri, Amy, Bridget, Maria, Antonia, Melissa, Emma, Colleen, and I had dinner at one of Italy's most famous pizzerias: Pepe in Grani

So happy to have Antonia home for a quick visit!

One of the delicious masterpieces created in the kitchen below.  We were able to look down on the pizza oven through a window in the middle of our table!
