Hide-And-Seek: Easter Edition

I pulled out the Easter box of goodies tonight and the kids were immediately read to go hunting. Emma decided that she was going to leave a trail of blocks that Camden had to follow and at the end of the trail he would find her. :)
When it was Camden's turn to hide, I followed Emma on her search...

Hmmmm, that bed looks a little lumpy and it's giggling, too!
 I found you!!!

The New Reality

As I am sitting here writing this post, Chris is somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean.  We had a nice transition week when Chris was only 2 time zones away visiting family in Iowa.  Now our new reality as a 2 continent (8 time zones away) family is really setting in.
We are so proud of Chris for blazing the trails on our next chapter in life, but we sure miss him.
13 weeks until we are together again!

We got a tiny taste of spring on Friday afternoon. The kids dragged out their lawn chairs and enjoyed a snack in the backyard.
Talking to Daddy on Skype Sunday evening...
3 Kaspareks who love and miss #4 a lot!

9 Years Since We Said, "I Do"...

In June of 2000 I thought I was headed to Italy for another great summer of Camp Adventure fun.  Little did I know, I'd meet a guy and fall in love.
Here is our first picture together...
6 months later Chris proposed and on April 6, 2002, we became husband and wife....
On our 4 year anniversary, we celebrated our Marriage Blessing with our friends in Japan...
9 years, 2 kids, 3 (almost 4) homes, and 2 (almost 3) continents later...
Here's to 70 more years of love and laughs!

IT'S T-BALL SEASON!
Emma's first game was this evening and she did great!  Most of the kids she played with last year returned to the Mariners.

Here 's a few shots of her during the pre-game warm up. :)

Quality Time With Daddy

Chris is flying to Iowa tonight, so we are getting in every moment of quality time we can with him!

Hanging out at Starbucks last Sunday...

Watching the Red Sox opening game yesterday afternoon quickly turned into watching Daddy blow big bubbles with his gum. :)
Emma is quite the Skip Bo player!
Camden has the best seat in the house...
 Tickle, tickle, tickle
 Off to bed!

Kids' Camp Deployment

For the 4th year, Chris has played a key roll organizing Naval Base Kitsap's Kids' Camp Deployment day during spring break.  This year 231 kids (including Miss Emma Louise Kasparek) enjoyed a day of fun at Island Lake Camp.

A man with a megaphone...
I think we've found THE outfits for our first night out in Naples!
Emma working out during "Boot Camp."
 I'm having fun, Mom!
Chris and his wonderful co-mastermind, Kathy.
Emma's favorite part of the day was learning how to march...

Chelsea and Chris showing their UNI school spirit...
Emma was sooooo excited that her dear friend, Kenneth, was in her group yesterday.  They hadn't seen each other since their days at preschool at Jackson Park.
Emma test driving the big rig!
I left the camp early to pick up Camden so we could be at the homecoming.  Here's Camden adding to our welcome home sign...

The leader of the troops arriving home!
Emma was in awe of all the people-it was just like a real homecoming!

Commander Travers congratulating Chris and Kathy on an outstanding deployment!
 Quite a pair! :)
