May in Review

This month has been jam packed with a ton of fun! I've collected quite a few pictures on my phone (and also borrowed some from friends) for this whirlwind recap of the past 4 weeks!

One wild and crazy Par-tee with great friends!
We had to say "see you later" to one of our favorite people, Bunny.
We are so excited for Bunny and Jeremy's upcoming wedding in the winter!  May our paths cross again very soon!
Don't let his face fool you, he is going to miss Bunny always saying, "Come here you little cutie and give me a hug!"
The NES staff celebrated the end of Teacher Appreciation Week honoring 3 retirees at a luncheon.
I'm going to miss chatting with Jackie next year!

Emma participated in a school exchange for a day at a local Italian middle school. Her good pal, Luca, helped her translate. :)
Their host, Andrea, and his family welcomed them into their home for a delicious lunch (In many Italian schools, the kids go home for lunch).
Before the spring sports teams headed off to the European Championship Tournaments, NMHS had a pep rally. Emma and her friend, Christian, won the egg toss contest!
We're experiencing one of the coldest Mays on record in Naples. This is me bundled up in a sweater, down puffy vest, and stocking cap enjoying a glass of Prosecco at Mary's

Spring Sports: Baseball and Track

For the 2019 spring sports season, Camden moved up to the major leagues in youth sports and Emma joined the Naples Middle High School (junior high) track team

Camden has been rocking the pitcher's mound this season! He has really improved and is getting a lot of strike outs.

The Orioles
Emma's first track meet was April 28
She practiced handoffs with her 4X100 team in the morning

Melissa and I had a great day as meet clerks :)

Look at that strong girl!
Track meets are even better when your friends are there to cheer you on!

Representing at Z's Seas The Day

Chris made a whirlwind trip to the States the end of April.  First stop: Jacksonville
He got to spend a few days with Nathaniel and Callie
Zane's graduation from Jacksonville University
Harley's Naval Officer Commissioning Ceremony
What an exciting few months for this cute couple!
On Sunday, Ron & Sherri hosted a reception for Zane and Harley. Chris was there to represent the "Italian Family" who have watched Harley and Zane grow up.

This picture pretty much sums up how much we love being a part of the Z's extended family!

The next morning, Chris flew to Iowa.  He picked up Grandma Rose in his rental red Mustang and took her out to lunch

Easter 2019

We had a picture perfect spring day for Eggstravaganza this year!

A friend captured one of Chris' famous expressions during a special event.  I'm guessing someone was not following directions at this moment!
Camden's off on his hunt!

Emma's turn

She was really searching for the Golden Egg!
