Cookie Time!

Today was our annual Christmas cookie baking day.  I panicked earlier this week when I couldn't find my recipe and called Mom with a Code Red to email it to me. This is the first year since Emma was born that I made the full recipe and we ended up with over 60 cookies. :)  My assistants are becoming excellent flour sifters and quick with the cookie cutters!

Our friend, Audrey, joined us this afternoon for the decorating extravaganza!

'Tis The Season To Be Jolly!

Can I just say that I absolutely LOVE Winter Break?!?!  For the past few weeks, Camden and Emma have noticed an advertisement sign sitting at the bottom of our hill showing live reindeer.  Today when we were out running errands we stopped by the Clear Creek Nursery to visit Dasher, Prancer, and Moses the Camel.

Santa better watch out...Camden and Emma are pretty good sleigh drivers!
This evening we went to downtown Bremerton and looked at all the lights in Harborside Fountain Park.

Crafty Kaspareks

There are now 2 crafty kids in the Kasparek house!  This artistic talent definitely comes from Chris's side of the family.  Emma has been quite a crafter for a while, but Camden has recently fallen in love with coloring.  He carries around a pile of his masterpieces and there is absolutely no way he would ever consider recycling any of them.  :)  Emma got a sewing sampler for Christmas last year and we found it hidden in her closet over the weekend.  She is now obsessed with needlepoint. :)  Here are my cute crafters busy at work this afternoon...

The Tradition Continues...

Chris is one determined guy! Each year he comes closer and closer to winning our neighborhood's annual house decorating contest and wants this to be his year.  For those of you who like to walk down memory lane, here are some memories from decorating past...

It's Saturday afternoon and the assistants are ready to help!

Sunday afternoon Chris went where he's never gone before:
the roof

Here are some priceless reactions from the kids when they saw him up there.

Thrilled that I'm taking pictures of him from Emma's bedroom window :)
My view for a while :)
Daylight is quickly fading, but he's still working hard!

Saturday is our annual lighting party and we're expecting a big crowd.
Chris will be ready to impress!

Decorating Is So Nice, Let's Do It Twice!

We finished the last of our Thanksgiving leftovers, so it was high time to get the 2010 Kasparek Family Christmas Tree!

Emma spots the one!

Spreading some holiday cheer singing Jingle Bells as our tree is loaded up.
 Let the decorating begin!

No, I didn't make a mistake and get this pictures out of order (I wish I did!). This was taken this morning when Chris discovered a leak in our tree stand.  Off came all the ornaments and we got to decorate the tree again!
Camden's making sure Chris gets the star just right on the top of the tree.
 Applause for Daddy!
 Our little helpers working hard.
