Presidents' Day Weekend Getaway

The Wildcats had their last regular season game on the Saturday of Presidents' Day Weekend in Rome. It was a makeup of their first game of the season that was cancelled due to weather.
Chris joined our little getaway Saturday night. Emma stayed with friends because of some basketball commitments
We drove an hour east of Naples in search of mountains and wine! :)
Mel, Amy, Camden, Sherri, Ron and I toured Tentua Cavalier Pepe

Camden did a blindfold taste test of some local marmalades
Amy, Ron, & Sherri enjoying the wine tasting
After hanging out at our villa Sunday morning, we headed to the town of Taurasi
 YEA! Chris is here :)
We sent this picture to Emma...
...and she sent this back to us with the caption, "That's better"
We enjoyed a wonderful lunch and wine tasting at Cantine Antonio Caggiano

Life Lately: Janubruary Edition :)

When the month of January quickly moved into February and you realized you've not blogged lately, Janubruary evolves into a new word!

Emma Louise studying away for her 1st semester finals.  She is doing a great job balancing her academics as a student athlete!
Camden joined his friends for an afternoon of paintball

Prosecco on the patio is my FAVORITE thing to do after school on Fridays!
 Dinner at Dom's

Camden placed 4th in the Geography Bee
The Wildcats turned around the next weekend and went back up north to play Aviano.  Emma's height makes her easy to pick out ;)
Emma made 44 out of 100 free throws for during the Wildcat Shoot-a-Thon. Thanks to all our friends and family who supported her!
 Chris celebrated his 45th birthday
We had a little joint birthday dinner at Dom's the Friday between our birthdays
I realized that I've taken a lot of videos of Camden on the basketball court, but not that many pictures.  Chris was traveling with high school basketball the first 2 weeks, so I was sending him as many highlights as possible.
Camden has spent a ton of time practicing free throws this season and it has definitely paid off!

The Wildcats had a bye week and came to cheer on Camden
Chris was a celebrity judge at Naples Got Talent

I joined Emma's AP Human Geography class on their field trip to study southern Italian agriculture last week.  I enjoyed comparing Italy and Iowa farming!
