Pisa & Florence

Pisa is only about a half hour from Lucca, so we had to stop and get some pictures with the iconic leaning tower.

Next stop: Florence!  We had a fantastic B&B a half block away from the famous Duomo. After a terrific late lunch at the Yellow Bar, we wandered around the city.

Lucca

On Sunday afternoon we drove north to Tuscany. Our first stop was the walled city of Lucca.  It's been on my "must see" list and it did not disappoint!

Our Sunday night dinner was the best meal of the trip.  With 2 hungry kids in tow, we walked into the first open restaurant we came upon and it was a gem!
Pasta with porcini mushrooms, steamed peppered mussels, and chianti wine...DELICIOUS!
Emma and Camden claimed the big bed at our B&B
On Monday morning we rented bikes to ride around the 3 mile long wall.  This was one of my favorite things I've done since living in Europe!

Camden's bike riding skills aren't the best, so he was on a trailer bike behind me

It was such a beautiful day, we spent the rest of the afternoon playing Skip-Bo in one of the parks on the wall.

Spring Break With Nana

Mom came back for her second spring break trip to Italy.  In 2012 she got off the plane and we hopped onto a ferry to Sardinia.  This trip she got off the plane and we took her to our favorite Friday night place to hang out: Dom's!

On Saturday, mom and I enjoyed a shopping trip to Shoe Alley and then Chris and I went out for dinner to celebrate our 12th anniversary. :)

Naples Wildcat Soccer

Chris joined the Naples High School Boys Soccer coaching staff this year. He is having a wonderful time motivating and teaching some talented young men.
The Wildcats took on the Sigonella Jaguars yesterday afternoon.

Here's Emma ready for the game!
