Our phenomenal family photographer (Lori) had a little cousins photo session at the City Park on our last full day in Iowa. My heart runneth over with all this Kasparek cuteness!

Tattoo and Family Time
Chris spent an afternoon at Crossroads Tattoos getting inked again. A tribute to his love of America, the Navy, the Hawkeyes, and family.
Some of the Kasparek and Friedl family stopped by for swimming and catching up after Chris got his tattoo.

Carver Hawkeye Arena
We spent a day enjoying Iowa City. An omelet at the Hamburg Inn was at the top of my "Eating in America"list and it did not disappoint on Thursday morning. After filling our bellies, we were off to tour the newly renovated Carve Hawkeye Arena.

Kasparek, Pisarik, and Sickles
If you start taking about Camp Adventure with Chris, it won't be long before the great summer of 1997 in Schweinfurt, Germany comes up. When you get on the subject of Schweinfurt, the wild adventures of Kori, Chris, and Chris (a.k.a. Kasparek, Pisarik, and Sickles) are on the top of the list.
We all got together for a fun evening in Swisher.

Cedar Falls (UNI and Camp Adventure #2 Reunion)
We try to make a trip to Cedar Falls whenever we visit Iowa. 4 incredible years were spent in this town. Walking around the UNI campus brings back MANY memories!
My beloved Hagemann Hall is getting a facelift (new windows). This was my home all during college and I didn't like seeing her like this!
Walking through central campus
Chris may have dove into this fountain during his time at UNI...
A UNI tradition is to kiss your sweetheart under the campanile during homecoming week. Neither of us ever went "campaniling" during college, so this was our chance!
Where this teacher was made! ;)

We are lucky that some of our friends still live in Cedar Falls. We had another mini Camp Adventure reunion at Peppers. Here is one of Chris and one of his college roommates, Scott

A trip to Cedar Falls is not complete with out seeing one of the first people I met at UNI and quickly became my wonderful friend, Katie!
After lunch, Katie invited us over for some play time.

Aunt Jessi's in Swisher!
They say timing is everything. Our dear friend Jessi (a.k.a. Aunt Jessi) and her husband, Joe, were on their way from Northwest Iowa to Ohio on Sunday and stopped for an evening in Swisher. We hadn't seen Jessi and Joe since their wedding 4 years ago.

Just like the good old days in Japan (the kids have grown just a little bit!)
