Baseball Opening Day

Yesterday was Opening Day of the spring sports season!
Here's Chris and his wonderful Youth Sports Staff before the opening ceremony.
 MC Kasparek
All the t-ball, baseball, and softball teams during the opening ceremony
 My favorite players!

There were lots of activities going on at Carney Park including some visiting Italian Firemen. Only in Italy do they let you take a ride in on the big ladder truck!

 Let's play ball!
Emma's Golden Eagles team and Camden's Tornadoes team played at the same time on neighboring fields.  Chris and I stood in the middle and cheered on both teams.

Emma got an out playing second base.
Camden's famous look of determination before he crushes the ball.

 Scoring a run!
Suited up as catcher for the second inning
 Ready to bat again
Camden played on the pitcher's mound during the second inning.  It kind of looks like he just punched his teammate in this picture, but he actually threw the ball to first base. :)
 Going after a grounder
 Look at that running form!
 Another look of determination

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

During Spring Break, Emma and Camden participated in Missoula Children's Theater's production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Emma was cast as Tambourine, the dwarf and Camden was Bat #7.  Both kids had a blast rehearsing and performing during the week.

Amalfi Coast Anniversary

The world's best husband surprised me with a getaway to the Amalfi Coast to celebrate our 11th anniversary.  We left the kids with our super friend, Kelly, and headed south on Saturday morning.
We began hiking the Path of the Gods right outside Positano. Chris hiked the entire trail in May of '11 and we took the kids along part of the other end of the trail in September '11.  Chris talked about "the steps" for a long time after his hike and I was ready for a challenge.

Here we go!
Out of breath and sweating like crazy already.  It was a gorgeous 70 degree day!
Taking a rest and enjoying the view of Positano down below.
We found this little water fall and decided to stop for a snack break before heading back down.
The view from our room at the Posa Posa Hotel
Cheers to 11 years!
Walking down to Positano
A stroll along the beach

Positano at night
Candlelit dinner out on the hotel balcony
I could eat breakfast here EVERY morning!
The best time to drive along the Amalfi coast - early Sunday morning.  Not much traffic and only a few cyclists to maneuver around.
A pit stop in Amalfi Town
Amalfi Cathedral
Our next pitstop was for lunch and a little ceramic shopping in Vietri.

What a way to celebrate! Thanks for a wonderful weekend, honey!

Imagination Movers

The Imagination Movers came to Naples!  Their show on the Disney Channel was Emma's favorite to watch when she was in pre-school.  Navy Entertainment and MWR hosted this rockin' concert at the elementary school on Thursday afternoon.
Here's Emma getting a high 5 from her favorite mover, Scott.
 Dancin' up a storm!

We waited around after the show and got a picture with the Movers.
Camden was the luckiest fan - drummer Kyle gave him his drumstick!
