Chris has been a part of Operation Tomodachi at SeaTac Airport the past few days, helping serve many military families evacuating from Japan. The kids were so excited to see him tonight! They are enjoying ever minute of "Daddy time" before he leaves next week.

Hail and Farewell
Chris's time in Washington is quickly coming to an end. On Sunday the Ward Room honored him at a Hail and Farewell celebration at the Bremerton Rec Center! The kids had a BLAST and could have bowled all night!
Captain Olson presenting Chris with a clock and compass.
Chris isn't the only one Naval Base Kitsap is saying farewell to. Captain Olson and Commander Travers will surely be missed, too!
Emma's Kindergarten Music Program
Emma and her fellow kindergarten classmates put on quite a show at their spring music performance. Emma loved every minute of it!

Peace of Mind
Our hearts have ached since we woke up this morning and learned of the devastation in Japan. Thankfully, within just a few minutes on Facebook, we found out that all our friends were okay.
When Emma heard about the earthquake, her first reaction was, "GAVIN!" Tonight we got to talk on Skype with our dear friends, the Rhineharts, in Okinawa. Emma got to see Gavin and felt much better. Even during our conversation, there were 2 community announcements on their neighborhood PA system. We asked Geoff what information they were passing on and his response was, "I'm not sure. I need to learn Japanese." :) Oh how we miss them!
Our prayers go out to the wonderful nation that we called home for 4 years!
The adorable Owen was more interested in the bowl of tortilla chips than us. :)
After our Skype chat, Camden was ready to kick back and relax.

A Family Hike
We headed out to Poulsbo this morning hoping to enjoy some family time hiking and having a picnic in the park. Then it started pouring rain.
So this afternoon we went for a little hike on the Newberry Hill Trails near our house.

So Good To Be Home!
After a wonderful week with my 3rd and 4th graders at IslandWood, this is just where I want to be tonight!
