Daddy Daughter Dance

 For the past 4 years, Chris and Emma have enjoyed a special night out each February at the Daddy Daughter Dance.  Here's a little walk down memory lane...

Happy Birthday, Chris!

Chris's birthday fun started on Thursday evening when Camden, Emma, and I made a carrot cake.

 Emma crashed before present time, but Camden was very excited to give Chris all his gifts.

Silly Boy/Sick Girl

 Camden has been resembling Shaggy lately, so I was thrilled when this handsome boy walked through the front door last night.  He was in a silly mood (imagine that!) when I wanted to take his picture. :)

 Our poor Emma girl has been sick since Wednesday.  Fever, cough, and cold-basically the crud that most of America seems to be dealing with right now.  She got to pick out 2 stickers at the doctor.

High Stakes Surgery

As soon as I walked into the Gold Room this afternoon, Camden ran up to me and said, "Mom!  My ducky broke his leg today! He got caught on the Art sign. I pulled him and he broke!"  

When we got home Camden pulled Eugene out of his bag and we removed the tape his teacher used to patch him up.  

Poor Eugene!

I am definitely a novice when it come to sewing-it's more like whip stitching. :) The pressure was on, but I repaired him as best I could and we now have a happy boy!

Entrepreneur at 6

Earlier this week she had a hair salon, this afternoon she wants to start her own jewelry making business.  Here's Emma modeling the earrings and necklace she designed. 

I asked her how she came up with her great ideas and she told me, "From Carly" (our fabulous baby sitter). She said I could wear it to school tomorrow and then she wants to, "Send it to the Children's Hospital so sick kids can have it."

If there is ever a kids' version of The Apprentice I think Donald Trump might have his hands full with Emma Louise Kasparek! :)

Emma's Salon

While I was cooking dinner the other night, Emma decided that Camden needed a haircut. She used Ducky Blanket for a cape, trainer chopsticks for scissors, and a pad of post-it notes for the razor. 

 

This is exactly how Camden reacts when he really gets his hair trimmed with a razor-he shrugs his shoulders and giggles. :)
