Mudgy and Millie

Page and Jack took on us on a moose hunt around Coeur D'Alene on Sunday.  A wonderful children's book was written about this beautiful Idaho town and Emma & Camden had so much fun running around searching for Mudge and his little mouse friend, Millie.

Enjoying the story with Page back at the house.

Columbus Day Weekend in Coeur D'Alene

When Chris found out he had a stress fracture in his foot, our Columbus Day Weekend plans changed from marathoning in Portland, to visiting the Hilgers family in Coeur D'Alene.

Emma ran upstairs right after school on Friday to pack her bags...
Enjoying a bedtime story in the German room at Page and Jack's house.
 Enjoying Page's beautiful flowers.
Hiking Tubbs Hill by Lake Coeur D'Alene

Emma and Camden helping Jack up the hill...
The last time we saw this beach, it was filled with thousands of Ironman Triathletes
 Playing at the park...
Heading out for a morning walk around the neighborhood.

Battle of the Buddies

Emma's soccer team played Claire's team on Saturday.  At breakfast, we told Emma that this was one time that she didn't need to share with Claire.  She needed to get the ball away from her.  Emma's response, "But she's my best friend!"
Emma and Claire were never on the field at the same time because of the way the players were rotated.  Both of them were the high goal scorers for each team!

Grandpa and Nana's Visit

The past three days have been fantastic with my mom and dad here!  The kids got in as much Nana and Grandpa time as possible.

Playing games...

A Sunday afternoon walk at the Silverdale Waterfront Park

Monday, Emma headed off to school (much to her dislike) and Camden and I hung out with Grandpa and Nana.  We started off with a walk at the Poulsbo Fish Park.

Then we headed to the Poulsbo Waterfront. Camden was ready to set sail on this viking ship!
We took our picnic lunch to Salsbury Point Park along the Hood Canal.
By pure luck, we got to see this...
Camden watching the boats, the ducks, and throwing rocks.
Today was a picture perfect fall day.  We went to Scenic Beach State Park. Camden was so excited searching for sea stars.

 More rock throwing with Grandpa.
 Next stop: Bainbridge Island...

Enjoying the beach at Fay Bainbridge State Park

 One last Lego building project.

I Don't Need A Nap, Mom

That's what I heard and this is how I found him before dinner tonight.

Cheering Section

What is Camden up to during Emma's soccer games?

Keeping her bucket seat warm on the sidelines...
Watching from the corner of the field...
Rolling around  in the grass...
Leaping through the air during halftime...

Triple Threat

Emma scored 3 goals during her soccer game yesterday!
